A Dad's view
I just wanted to write to you to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the safe delivery of our baby Helana.
I am 100% sure that without your help, knowledge and experience we would not have had such a wonderful experience throughout Ruth's pregnancy and birth, as you know how precious this was to us. Chrissy you have firmly changed my beliefs on pregnacy and birth, as I was the first to be very against needing you from the start as I couldn't justify spending all that money on something I thought we would have with the NHS. However, I have certainly changed my views, thoughts and opinions and dare I say, would have paid you double or triple quite easily. I also thank you on behalf of Ruth because without you I am sure we would not have had a natural birth, as you showed us we could have an opinion and tell the hospital what we wanted, and you being there reassured Ruth not to be induced beforehand. And then thoughout the birth you were there when we needed you, just at the right times.
Thank you so much once again for the freindship we made over those sometimes long nine months and rest assurred should we be blessed with another child we will be knocking on your door immediately. I am now converting anyone of our friends and family who are pregnanct to go down the route of an independent midwife and will not hestitate to give them your number.
We will definitely keep in touch giving you progress on our baby girl and wish you and your family a healthy and happy 2008. Watch this space for the next Stylianou!
